International Distribution Hub |
The foreign trade container terminals at Island City and Kashii Park Port are state-of-the-art container terminals which can deal with increasingly larger vessels and containerization. Being equipped with sophisticated port facilities and being called at by international liner container services, they are further increasing an importance as a hub of the international distribution network.
Island City and Kashii Park Port are not only close to Fukuoka Airport, but are also only 2.4 km away from the Kashiihama Ramp of the Fukuoka Urban Expressway, which is linked directly to the Fukuoka Interchange of Kyushu Expressway. | ![]() |

State-of-the-Art Facility The foreign trade container terminal at Kashii Park Port is a state-of-the-art terminal with berths which can accommodate 50,000 ton class container ships, equipped with 4 post-panamax type gantry cranes on an extensive site of 22.3ha. |

Hakozaki Wharf
Hakozaki Wharf is the largest wharf at Hakata Port. Direct access to the Kyushu Expressway and Fukuoka Airport through two Fukuoka Urban Expressway exits leading to the wharf, as well as the adjacent Japan Railway’s Fukuoka Freight Terminal, provide highly-efficient intermodal transport.

Chuo Wharf
A Multifunctional Wharf with an International Terminal, a Cruise Center, Large Convention Facilities and Sophisticated Warehouses
In addition to the existing warehouse functions, three sophisticated warehouses have been constructed to improve the efficiency of distribution systems by means of elevating conveyors and distributive processing facilities. As such, Chuo Wharf functions as an advanced distribution hub close to the city center.

Hakata Wharf
Hakata Wharf has a terminal for domestic regular services to Iki, Tsushima, and Goto islands, municipal ferry services and bay cruises. The wharf has been developed as a vibrant exchange hub including Hakata Port Tower, Hakata Port Bayside Museum that is located at the bottom of the tower and provides the port information, and Bayside Place HAKATA with a passenger terminal, a seafood market and restaurants.
